Welcome to the Mystic Groves Temple blog!
Mystic Groves Temple was created by our founder, Mystic Flame, as an avenue for eclectic witches to come together in a safe and accepting community. Mystic Flame has been practicing Wicca and witchcraft for over a decade and he has a passion for teaching and advocacy. Mystic Groves Temple focuses on teaching secular aspects of Wicca alongside traditional beliefs as a way to further develop diversity and inclusivity in our coven.
At this time, our coven is working on providing access to articles, resources, and rituals for anyone who would like to sign up for a free account, as well as a store to help support our goals. We are also in the process of developing a Wiccan training program and access to groups, which will take some time to complete.
Purpose of the blog
We hope to honor our mission of providing education, training, resources, and religious services to the Wiccan community and society as a whole. As we are just starting out, this blog is one of our steps to achieve those goals through discussions, information sharing, and the building of a diverse community.
Our blog will focus on topics of Wicca and witchcraft, as well as general ways to improve self-care and spirituality. On top of traditional Wiccan views and beliefs, we hope to incorporate ideas of secularism into our blog, as we feel it can help to build diversity and inclusion in our community. Some may argue that secularism in Wicca would be counterintuitive, as Wicca is traditionally a polytheistic religion. However, there are various examples of secularism in other religions and beliefs, and we feel that having that focus on personal development and manifestation while incorporating archetypes and metaphors in the discussion of deities fits within the Wiccan beliefs and ideals.
